This will provide information on functions, publications and so forth.Back to top
ATTENTION: Closure of Web SiteI am sorry to inform you that the Alumni web site is to be closed down at the end of 2008.
The website was developed in 2001 as a means of enabling Alumni of CDSS and ACSC and their predecessor institutions to maintain contact with each other after graduation. Unfortunately the website has not been extensively used and is not cost effective to retain. After 6 years it has been decided to close it down and allow graduates to maintain contact via the Australian Defence Colleges Association (ADCA) or through the Alumni Secretary and informal networks.
The ADCA will continue to provide services to Alumni, including assisting you to keep in touch with one another. If you need to contact somebody or find out some other information, you can email the Alumni Secretary at adca@defence.adc.edu.au and get the help you need.
On behalf of the ADCA, the Alumni Secretary maintains a database of all graduates from the CDSS and ACSC and their predecessor institutions at Weston Creek. Instead of adding your new contact details to the web site, please email the Alumni Secretary at the above email address so that your details can be kept up-to-date.
If you wish to receive the Alumni journal, Yolla, or be made aware of upcoming functions, you will need to become a member of the Association at a cost of $10.00 per year, or $50.00 for life membership. You can also arrange reunions for course mates through the Association and may be eligible for a sum of money to assist with that.
The Australian Defence College website is also a useful source of information to graduates on developments at the College. The College website is http://www.defence.gov.au/adc/

Welcome Message from COMADCThe Australian Defence College Alumni was formed in December 2001. Membership is automatically conferred on all graduates of the ADC (Weston). This website was developed to encourage Alumni to build on the relationships established between course members during their time at the ADC. The importance of maintaining these links is enshrined in the ADC Charter. The Alumni website also serves as a vital conduit between its members and the ADC.
The website is a valuable source of information on activities undertaken at the ADC, overseas study tours, and outstanding achievements by Alumni. The Alumni website provides a rich historical record that members can access.
I encourage you to use this service and to keep in touch with the Alumni Secretary.

About this websiteThe ADC Alumni website has been developed to help you to keep in touch with your coursemates and with the College and its activities.
For those of you who are visiting the Alumni web site for the first time, here is an outline of some of the functions available on the site:
Change my Password
Entry to the Alumni website is via a unique username and password. Alumni can change their password at any time. If you forget your password, contact the Alumni Secretary.
Edit My Details
This is the link to your personal profile. You can enter any contact details/addresses that you wish to be available to other Alumni. Public domain information such as name, rank, Service, Course and Country of Origin are already on the database.
Search Function
The Search Alumni function enables you to search the entire database for an individual member or an Alumni group.
Individual Email
If you highlight an individual's name from your course member list, you have the option of sending an email to that individual using the link at the bottom of the course member list.
Group Email
On your course page you have the option of emailing the entire course group. Note: Please be aware that not all course members will have put in their email address.
If you wish to email a select group, you can do so via the 'Search Alumni' page. You will need to select your search criteria, conduct a search and then you will be given the option of emailing the whole group, or select members of the group by removing the ticks from the boxes of those people who you do not wish to be included. Please be aware that not all course members have put in their email address. A tick in the 'Has Email' box indicates those people who have an email address in the database.
Course Photos and Family Photos
This is available through the 'My Photos' link on the menu bar or the Class Photos link on your course page. The Family Photos can only be viewed by clicking on an individual and looking at their family photos. The Class Photos page allows individuals to view all photos posted to the website by members of their class.
Snitz Forum
This is an interactive discussion environment that will allow you to post topics to a community bulletin board and receive replies. Each graduating class has its own forum and only graduates and Directing Staff from that course will be able to use the forum. To view your forum click on the relevant link in the left hand menu bar after you have logged in.
Security
Access to the Alumni website is via a user name and password issued by the Alumni Secretary. The Alumni web site is hosted on a dedicated secure server by Cybertrust PTY LTD.
As an added security precaution, an SSL Web Server certificate has been installed for the site. The SSL Web Server Certificate encrypts or scrambles information sent between your PC and the web server.
Despite these security precautions, members need to be aware that comments made on your class forum can be viewed by a wide audience. Comments and observations posted to the forum should be cognisant of the sensitivities of others.
The Alumni web site and all information stored on the site remain the property of the Commonwealth of Australia and are subject to audit. Routine maintenance of the site is undertaken and outdated or inappropriate topics deleted.
You are most welcome to send me any information for the web site that you believe would be of interest to other Alumni. Any information forwarded should be done so on the understanding that it can be posted to the site.
Regards,
Alayne
